Let's play the game and see if you can find the words with short vowels. Click the 'play' button.

Figurative speech

Madam Noorakhma shared a wonderful figurative speech song by Lenka, with pictures! It is said that the pictures are drawn by pupils in Thailand. Can you guess what kind of figurative speech used in the video? In the mean time, let's sing the song together!

It is a simile. A simile is a way to compare of one thing with another thing of a different kind. It makes the description more interesting. There is an interesting quiz that you might want to try:

How do you feel?

Nearly a month ago, the nation entered the period of the Movement Control Order. Schools were closed and pupils and teachers had to stay at home. Activities were conducted online. There were also activities that pupils conduct at home.

Most of the pupils watch movies at home. Some even learned something new, such as playing batu seremban, making bookcase, making sculptures and even planting beansprouts!

How do we feel about this situation? A video has been made, compiling opinions of different pupils from different backgrounds. Let's watch:

Can you name...

Teacher Miza suggested a wonderful game of naming words in a group. You can try this with your family members. Each person will pick a card and get the other members to list down the words related to it. Here is an example of the card:

Then, each member has to give 5 names related to the profession. It will look like this:

You can try this out, even without the cards. You can download the cards here:
