Time zones.

In this lesson, we will learn:
1)  to tell the time
2) to look at different weathers in different countries

Different countries have different time zones. As I am writing this, it is 6 o'clock in Malaysia, but it is now 7 o'clock in Japan.

Have you seen these clocks?
If it's 7:30 am in Paris, it's 5.40 pm in Japan!

To know the time in other countries, we have to look at the time zones.

Different colour indicates different time zone.

If we are in the same time zone, our time will be the same. For example, Malaysia and Singapore are in the same time zone. So, right now the time in Singapore is 6 o'clock, too. Look at the video below about time zones:

Now, let's listen to this news. Then, try to figure out the time in other countries by clicking on the map below.

Now, click on the map below and guess the time in other countries. What is the time in Kuala Lumpur? The news has the clue.

What should I wear?

People wear differently in different seasons. People wear t-shirts in the summer and coat in the winter.
Summer
During winter, it is too cold and you might need to wear extra layers of shirt!

You can be stylish in winter, too!
Click on the picture to make it bigger.

Now, why don't you try the different garments in this online 'messy wardrobe'? Show us what we should be wearing in different seasons!

Instructions:
 1.  Click and drag the item of your choice.
 2. You can write your name and season after you have printed out your work.
 3. If you want to print, you might want to change the printable scale. I print using 200% scale and in portrait mode. This is how it looks like:

4. You can then label and colour the garments.

5. You can't save your work, but you can print or take a screenshot of it (printing only works with computers). If you have coloured it, do share your work with us!
