Comparative adjectives.

Ms Iman is teaching 3 Anggerik about different animals. Some animals are bigger and taller than the othere. We use comparative adjectives to compare between two objects. For example:

 

tall -> taller      long -> longer    small -> smaller       ugly -> uglier

*If the last letter is a -y, change the letter into -i.

 Let's recap! What do you know about nouns? Noun is a name word. It can be a person, a place, or a thing. There are nouns which are specific (proper noun) and general (common noun).

We use a singular noun to show one person, place or thing. We use the plural noun to show more than one person, place or thing. We make plural nouns by adding -s or -es.

We use conjunctions to connect sentences and phrases. In this post I will show you how to use and and but.

Sometimes, we write two sentences that have the same idea. For example:

I like cakes. I like chicken.

We can combine the two sentences using and. They will become:

I like cakes and chicken.

Let's try with another example:

Ali doesn't like broccoli. Danial doesn't like broccoli.

The sentences will become:

Ali and Danial don't like broccoli.

Sometimes, we use two sentences that are different in ideas. For example:

I like pizza. He likes muffin.

We can combine the two sentences using but. It will become:

I like pizza but he likes muffin.

It's raining. She hasn't got an umbrella.
