Uncle Sam's farm.

We will:

1. Read/listen to and understand a story

2. Use singular/plural nouns correctly.

(This lesson is adapted from GetSmart Page 66)

Have you been to a farm before? You can find many kinds of animals in a farm. Greg and Anna go to Uncle Sam's farm. Let's see what is happening.

Have you listened to the story? Plural nouns are nouns that are more than one. Most nouns form their plural by adding to the word.

Some nouns take es in the plural. For example:

bus - buses

dress - dresses

box - boxes

Nouns ending in f would take -ves in the plural. For example:

wolf - wolves

scarf -scarves

leaf -leaves

Some of the nouns take a different name. For example:

tooth -teeth

mouse -mice

Now, let's play a game. Can you find the plural nouns? (note that there is one singular noun in the quiz)

How did you do? Did you manage to get the correct answers? Why don't you try and complete this crossword puzzle. Good luck!
