Is, isn't... are, aren't

 

Is he playing badminton? No he isn't

isn't comes from the word is not. aren't comes from the word are not.

Sometimes, instead of saying he is, we can say he's. 

 Let's look at the table below and look at what the words mean.

*after using one of these you need to add -ing to the next action word (playing , jumping, eating)

Examples:

Singular 👧
1. Shahirah isn't playing netball. She's playing volleyball.
2. Rosie isn't singing. She's dancing.

Plural 👧👧
1. Muammar and Rifqi aren't reading. They're writing.
2. Aqashah and Irfan aren't swimming. They're fishing.

*Remember to use capital letters and full stop when you write a sentence.
