Farewell Ms Ela!

Last Friday was Ms Ela's last day of teaching in SK Taman Bukit Indah. She is currently studying in UNISEL and has been a wonderful practicum teacher. Before she left, she entertained the whole school with an amazing Choral Speaking by 3 Bestari, in which she supervised.

Teaching English Using ICT

Last week, 3 classes namely 3 Cemerlang, 3 Iltizam and 3 Gemilang were given the chance to use the computer for the topic Working People. They were required to type about occupations in the computer. Meanwhile, they were able to learn how to use the Powerpoint in their presentation. This was also a group work which required students to work together and respect each other. Occupation Roleplay

Yesterday we had a roleplaying game with 3 Gemilang, 3 Cemerlang, 3 Progresif and 3 Iltizam. The theme was based on occupation. Students were asked to guess the type of job the group was doing. Students were participative. These were some of the jobs that were acted by the students of 3 Gemilang.

Prison Break

Teachers have been working building a prison. The project is spearheaded by Mr Zulfadhli. This is in conjuction with the Drug Prevention Awareness Programme (PPDa). The school is expected to be drug-free by 2012. Here are some of the photos taken by Cikgu Zalinah:

NiE StarMag: All the best!

Alhamdulillah.
Finally we have managed to complete the Star Magazine entries on time. There are 9 groups from 3 Cemerlang who are contesting for SK Taman Bukit Indah, namely Club Penguin, Diamond Castle, Genius, Supra, Masked Ryder, Water Lily, Secret Diary, Formula Two and One Piece. The objective of the participation is to encourage the children the enrich themselves with the language through group work and independent learning. 7 videos are being submitted for the competition as well. ELS and Spelling Bee

The English Language Society had a spelling bee activity outside of the classroom. The activity was conducted by Ms. Ela. Each student was required to spell a word within 5 seconds. Through this activity, we were able to identify students who has a difficulty in finding words and spelling them. However, most of the students did well.
